CHANGE AGENTS WINNERS!
"If you want to be an agent of change, it starts with you and what you're made of."
-Michael J Fox, Actor, Parkinson's Activist and Change Agent
Every month we will honor those in our community who are nominated by their students and community members as Change Agents. In December, our flagship month, we decided to focus on our amazing educators! Many nominations came in from all over the area, and here are the amazing teachers that were chosen.
Ms. Beattie, Akron Preparatory Academy
“I have never known a teacher who works so hard to meet the needs of her students. She is working with her students both online and in person to assure they have their IEP requirements met. She drops off food for families who can’t get to our location; she meets with kids in the evenings to accommodate their schedules; and she is so passionate about her education.”
Ms. Vorndran, Sharon Elementary School (Highland Local Schools)
“She is the absolute best when it comes to teaching kids, especially during a pandemic. She goes above and beyond to make sure kids enjoy coming to school and enjoy learning. She treats each student the same and always has a positive attitude. I wish my child could have her as a teacher for the rest of her school journey.”
MRS. SEEHOLZER, CLOVERLEAF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
"Ashley Seeholzer goes above and beyond to help her students. Beyond that she genuinely cares for her students. She treats these children as her own and has made a lasting impact on my son. She has grown his love of learning and is a positive adult role model in his life outside of the home. She is an outstanding teacher and I am grateful for teachers like her who I genuinely trust my children with. The world would be blessed to have more Ashley Seeholzers teacher our future generations."
MRS. WHITED, OVERLOOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
"My daughter is special needs and Mrs. Whited goes above and beyond to make sure she gets what she needs. She is always super nice and so helpful. My daughter loves going to school and loves to see Mrs. Whited."
